Caitlin Marcoux will cross the pond from Nantucket to the main land this summer to join us as a presenter at Love Yoga Fest for the second time … and this time, she’s bringing her paddleboards!

A Team Yogi for Glide SUP, Caitlin will lead our Stand Up Paddle classes - one each on Saturday and Sunday, bringing a sense of joyful freedom to an otherwise earth-bound yoga practice. In SUP yoga, as it is known to devotees, you will learn to practice on 10- to 12-foot-long boards and connect with nature at the same time. {Insider tip: space is limited and weekend pass holders get $10 off this workshop!}

Back at Aselton Park, you won’t want to miss Caitlin’s Satya Vinyasa class, a dynamic, challenging and nurturing mixed level practice {some experience is useful}. This workshop uses the yoga mat as a “physical and spiritual laboratory.” With Caitlin’s help, we’ll explore our true nature and how can we use our yoga practice to sort through the stories that make up our identities. Satya Vinyasa focuses on cultivating intimacy with our bodies, minds and energetic beings, while holding space for the present moment, and releasing precepts and concepts about who we think we’re supposed to be and enjoying who we actually are. Allow yourself to be lead gently into the space of your yogic heart and discover your satya.

In addition to being a yoga teacher, Caitlin is a mother, writer, SUP racer, road cyclist, massage therapist and breast cancer survivor. She has advanced certifications in both prenatal and children’s yoga, and has an extensive background in PranaFlow.  A former modern dancer, Caitlinshe fuses her passion for movement and music with her love of traditional yoga,; keeping her teaching creative, playful and fresh. Her classes are primarily vinyasa-based and infused with the teachings of the Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions and the influences of her teachers Shiva Rea, and Ganga White.

Caitlin is proud to call the tiny island of Nantucket her home, and devotes much of her free time to playing with her son on the beach and pursuing the #SUPlife. She is the founder of Nantucket SUP Yoga, which offers a full array of Fluid Flow Stand-Up Paddle Yoga classes in the warmer months, and Strong Girls Yoga, a yoga-based curriculum that seeks to support Nantucket’s young women in the cultivation of self-esteem, mindfulness, and physical awareness.

Caitlin is a cancer advocate and blogs regularly about her adventures with long-term illness, practicing yoga and parenting. She has also written numerous articles for elephantjournal.com, and RebelleSociety.com.
